Things to know

Good to know

Welcome to Fafleralp – a place where time follows a different rhythm. To help you enjoy your break in the heart of the unspoilt Valais mountains to the full, we have put together the most important information for you here.

Your friend with us

If your dog is part of the family, he is welcome to accompany you to Fafleralp! Your four-legged friend is also ours when accompanied by mindful people. To ensure everyone gets along well, we ask you to observe a few ‘feel good’ points during your stay.

  • We charge £25 per dog per night and limit the number of four-legged friends we accommodate to a manageable total.
  • The area surrounding our hotel is just as much a paradise for dogs as it is for us humans. As beautiful as nature is, the ecosystem is sensitive to changes and external influences. Please note that although we are in a natural environment, picking up after your dog is just as mandatory as it is in urban areas.
  • Your pet's hunting instinct is natural, but your dog is not a natural hunter. Freedom therefore comes with restrictions, which we ask you to respect. With this in mind, we also ask you to take the leash requirement on hiking trails seriously.
  • Keep your distance from grazing animals! Cows defend their calves.
  • Dogs are generally allowed in the restaurant area. Here, too, mindfulness and mutual respect are paramount.
  • It is important to us that your pet participates in the hikes and is not left alone in the room during the day. If your friend is staying in the room, please let us know.
